With the approaching death of his father, the village post officer, Oscar returns to Mexico from the U.S. for the first time and finds that he is now the only man among a handful of women who live in this small place without phone or internet service. Most of the men have left the village in search of a better life in the United States. Oscar takes over the local post office and begins to hear the stories of its inhabitants, among them a little boy who asks for his father’s letters. When Oscar is finally able to return to the States, he will have to decide between leaving or staying and rebuilding his life.

Director and co-writer Montserrat Larqué is scheduled to attend both screenings.
