La Piel Más Temida • The second in Joel Calero’s trilogy on the years of the internal conflict and political violence that shook Peru between 1980-2000, (the first one, “One Last Afternoon,” was shown at the 33rd Chicago Latino Film Festival in 2017) focuses on Alejandra who, upon returning to her hometown in Peru after 20 years to take care of some family affairs, discovers that her father — who she presumed dead — is actually in prison, serving time for having been a member of a terrorist group. She wants to know who the man who abandoned her at the age of three is, and embarks on a journey that will bring her closer to her roots and her own identity. **CHICAGO PREMIERE**
