Manuela, an Argentinean immigrant, walks through the empty streets of Los Angeles, in search of a job. She finds it as the nanny for Alma, the daughter of a businesswoman. When the mother leaves on a business trip, Manuela and Alma spend more time together swimming in the pool, cleaning the house, and forming a maternal bond. The days go by, and they still haven’t heard from Ellen. Manuela takes on more and more of a motherly role, even wearing Ellen’s clothes. One day, she learns that her entire world as she knows it has just changed and she must make a big decision.
Director and writer Clara Cullen is scheduled to attend both meetings.
