Memorias De Un Cuerpo Que Arde • Winner of the Audience Award last year at the Berlinale’s Panorama program and Costa Rica’s, Antonella Sudassassi Furniss’ inventive new film distills the experiences of three women in their 60s and 70s —Ana, Patricia and Mayela— in one composite character embodied by three actors of different ages. Ana, Patricia and Mayela talk candidly and with humor, off-camera, about living in a repressive era when discussions about sexuality were taboo and about rediscovering their sexuality at this late stage of their lives as their memories are reenacted on a film set.
